Joben's path into physiotherapy started at 14, when a dislocated shoulder from rugby sidelined him mid-season. What began as a frustrating recovery became a turning point: rehab taught him that movement, something he'd always taken for granted, could just as easily be lost as regained. That question still drives his work today: how do you help someone not just heal, but move well again? He's chased the answer through his own sport ever since, playing rugby, training in judo, and now competing in powerlifting.

At a restructured hospital, Joben built extensive experience in orthopaedic and sports surgeries, with a particular focus on post-operative management, plus a keen interest in tendinopathies and low back pain. Rotations across neurological, cardiac, and geriatric medicine gave him the clinical range to meet people wherever they are, always with the same goal: getting them back to what matters most in their life.

Outside the clinic, Joben is an IPF-certified Powerlifting Coach with eight years of competitive experience, coaching athletes at national and international levels. Time under the barbell has taught him how strength is actually built: structured programming, smart load management, and above all, consistency. He's found that helping clients enjoy the process, not just chase outcomes, is what makes progress stick.

When he's not in the clinic or under the bar, Joben plays in a band, chasing a different kind of rhythm and discipline. He's usually got his Singapore Special, Jovie, close by too, proof that recovery, like training, goes better with good company.
